  1. Hi, all.  I'm looking for a semi-complete list of TCP vendors who
  2. provide a winsock.dll stack (along with their TCP product).  My
  3. employer is working on a "Winsock-compliant" product, and would like
  4. to actually test it with as many vendors' winsock.dll's as possible.

  6. I know of several that are pretty well-known, and I can look through
  7. magazines and so on.  I'm just wondering what you folks use and have
  8. heard of.  If you don't mind, drop me a note (send email or post it --
  9. I'll get it either way) and let me know what package you use or have
  10. used, so I can add it to my list.

  12. If this sort of thing interests anyone else, I'll be glad to post the
  13. results.

  38.  I can't seem to get winsock to resolve hosts. Every application (Eudora, FTP,
  39.  Finger) sends me a nasty message after spending a lot of time trying to
  40. resolve the host. Interestingly, the first time I started winsock I did 
  41. connect to the POP server and sent mail. However, nothing else has worked
  42. since then. I am at a loss to understand the problem. I am using a dial-up
  43. connection to my host and have confirmed that all of the IP data is right.
  44. my host assigned a permanent IP number and when I select TRACE I see that
  45. winsock gets that correctly.
